Absence makes the heart grow stronger.

I've been away far too long.

But I promise I've been busy. Like super busy. Like making to-do lists 50 times a day busy. Like peeling off the fingernail polish I just painted because I'm anxious busy. Like sitting down at the computer to write but feeling flustered busy. So in other words, I've been bussssssy.

I'd like to say I have photos of my recent adventures. But I can't. Mr. D did manage to snap this iPhone pic on our recent trip to Chicago, so if you're not into reading all of these words, I don't blame you. I'll be back with a more visually interesting post soon.

Instead of taking photos, I've been packing, arranging, fretting, planning, pining, and scheming for our upcoming move to North Carolina. Because Mr. D is such a smarty pants, he's continuing his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. And because I'm his wife, I'm tagging along.

Can you believe it? I can't.

It's two weeks from today, and I still haven't wrapped my head around it. We're really moving across the country? We're really driving 19 hours in a car with a cat? We're really leaving all of our friends and family for a place I've never been in my entire life?

I guess so. And, honestly, I couldn't be more excited. (Ok, I'm a little scared too.) But I'm ready for the adventure and looking forward to the change in scenery.

Plus, can you imagine all of the great blogging material?

  1. Randall,
This is such exciting news. You are going to have an amazing time! Moving can be very scary (but speaking from experience) - it can be a huge reward. Good luck with everything until you move. I can't wait to read all about your next big thing!
