Long time. No see.

Now that I'm back to full-time employment (yippee!), I've had a hard time finding time to blog. But no more.

I'm getting back into the swing of things, and I vow to blog regularly again. Here we go.

2. These vintage engagement rings. (All of the jewelry I wore on my wedding day came from this shop.  I heart it.)

3. These crazy expensive (but pretty fabulous) scarves.

4. Painting pumpkins like the Petersiks. 

5. And adding an elbow patch to an old sweater.

Burberry Spring 2012

I don't usually get too wrapped up in New York Fashion Week. I love to check out all of the new looks, but—let's be honest here—I can never afford any of that stuff. However, I so love Burberry's Spring 2012 ready-to-wear I had to show it to you.

Fall wishlist.

It's going to be in the 60s here tomorrow, so you know what that means. It's time to start putting together a fall wishlist. First on my list: one of these scarves from the oh-so-great Etsy shop, bark.

Gold earrings.

I don't wear much jewelry, but I always wear earrings. Always. Lately, I've been on a serious gold earring kick, and I just spotted the motherload on Catbird. They're a bit on the pricey side, but if you plan on wearing them every day, I think you can justify them.

I'm hesitant to tell you about this because I want it all for myself, but Missoni teamed up with Target. The collection is awesome. It's available at Target September 13 - October 22. If I see you there, I will elbow you out of my away. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Beach time.

Mr. D and I are off to the beach with my family this weekend. In honor of our time in the sun, I've put together the perfect beach day outfit. All from Quicksilver, which is way more awesome than the last time I checked it out.

Lately I've been thinking I want a simple gold band to wear in place of my normal wedding ring on certain occasions. Mainly, I want it during the hot summer months when my hands swell up like pufferfish from the heat. But I also wouldn't mind a more understated ring every once and awhile. Not that my wedding ring is flashy by any means. I just like plainer jewelry for certain outfits.

Hair tutorial.

I'm a sucker for Cup of Jo's hair tutorials. They're simple and un-fussy, but they still look elegant. And I think even I can do them.

A lot (as in, pretty much all) of my friends are getting married this summer or fall, and I plan to try a few of these out. I'll let you know how it goes.

I keep seeing Clare Vivier's La Pochette clutch everywhere I turn. That must mean I'm meant to own one, right? My birthday is in a couple of weeks. I choose the lime green one. Thanks.

Shoe envy.

Is it just me or are Zara shoes just getting better and better? Now, if it would just open an e-commerce site in the United States, we'd be in business.

I've wanted this Michael Kors watch for a long time now, and because I haven't posted an outfit in forever and because I feel like this is going to be a good week and because I just wanted to (okay?), I've decided to show you how I'd wear this fancy, schmancy watch. Hopefully, someday, it'll be mine.

Right now, I'm really wanting a pair of Mother jeans, but like I said before, I'm on a break from shopping. Instead, I'll settle for telling you about them.

Mother belongs to Tim Kaeding, formerly of 7 for All Mankind, and Lela Tillem, formerly of Citizens for Humanity. They formed a partnership several years ago, and they've been working on this collection ever since. You can buy a pair at Nordstrom.
